Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to review your options and choose what’s right for you and your family in 2027. Make your elections starting November 4 and ending November 20, by 11:59 p.m. ET.

What’s changing for 2027

At Philips, our benefits support your health, financial security and overall well-being. Think about your year ahead: Are your family’s needs changing? Will you need additional healthcare? Take a fresh look to make sure your benefits still fit your needs.

While most elections will carry over, flexible spending accounts (FSAs) require a new election each year.

Just the facts

  • Enroll November 4–20. The deadline is November 20, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
  • Coverage runs January 1 – December 31, 2027. You generally cannot change elections during the year unless you experience a qualifying life event.
  • Taking no action? Most current elections will continue. To have a health care, limited purpose or dependent care FSA in 2027, you must actively enroll.
  • Ready? Make your elections through the Philips Benefits Center.

UPDATES TO KNOW FOR 2027

Healthcare updates

  • Medical: Review your actual 2027 per-pay-period costs in the Philips Benefits Center.
  • Tobacco surcharge: The medical premium surcharge ends in 2027.
  • Dental: Updates include a lower-cost Basic Plan option, and broader Delta Dental in-network access through the Enhanced Plan. Plus, Delta Dental PPO and Premier providers will be covered at the same benefit level. Only the Enhanced Plan covers orthodontia; choose it if you or a dependent is receiving treatment or may need it in 2027. Benefits that have been already used count toward the lifetime orthodontia maximum.
  • Pharmacy: Judi Rx, formerly Capital Rx, will offer expanded $0-cost-share access to selected biosimilars, additional specialty pharmacy discounts and a coupon program for certain non-specialty brand medications in 2027.
  • Vision: Plan designs and employee contributions stay the same.
  • Home infusion: Eligible BCBSMA and UPMC members using certain infusion medications may receive care at home or a nearby infusion center through Leap Health. Participation is optional.

You do not need to enroll in the new pharmacy or home infusion programs during Open Enrollment. Eligible members may be contacted about these programs after January 1, 2027.

CARE FOR YOUR WELL-BEING

Well-being support, your way

  • New $500 Well-being Wallet: Receive $500 each year for eligible expenses supporting physical health, mental well-being, work-life balance, financial wellness and personal development. Details on eligible expenses and how to use the Well-being Wallet will be shared before launch. The current Wellness Program and the Fitness Reimbursement Program end December 31, 2026. Redeem 2026 Wellness Points and submit eligible fitness claims by the plan deadlines.
  • Program transitions: Omada, Cylinder and Pelago end December 31, 2026; Milk Stork shipping will no longer be available in 2027. Contact Health Advocate for help finding available support through your health plan or other Philips resources.

NEW LIMITS FOR 2027

Save more in the HSA

Health Savings Account limits: Annual limits increase to $4,500 for employee-only coverage and $9,000 for other coverage tiers, including employer contributions. Eligible employees age 55 or older can contribute an additional $1,000.
COVERAGE WORTH A SECOND LOOK

Extra protection benefits

  • Special disability enrollment opportunity: During Open Enrollment, you can elect long-term disability buy-up coverage without health questions or additional medical review.
  • Voluntary benefits: ARAG legal coverage is expanding, and Cigna accident insurance and critical illness insurance will include additional covered services at no additional plan cost.

  1. Explore your options. Review the 2027 Benefits Guide, video, FAQ, plan comparison tool and benefit summaries on the Philips Benefits Center.
  2. Compare coverage and costs. Check your per-pay-period costs, doctors, facilities and prescription coverage. Review dental options carefully if you need orthodontia.
  3. Enroll by November 20 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Make your elections, including any FSA contributions, then review, submit, and approve them.
  4. Adding a dependent? Complete dependent verification before January 1, 2027.
  5. Watch for ID cards. If you change plans or add a dependent, look for new cards before January 1, and share them with your providers.

Philips offers two vision plans through VSP. The Basic Plan provides coverage toward the essentials: an annual checkup and an allowance for contacts or frames and lenses. If you want a higher allowance or need enhancements to your lenses, the Enhanced Plan is the way to go.

A match made in heaven

We hope you spend many happy years at Philips. But when it’s time to enjoy your golden years, you’ll need (and want) financial security. That’s why Philips delivers a generous company match to your Philips 401(k) plan. That’s free money toward your retirement if you contribute to the 401(k) plan.

Philips matches the first 4% of your eligible earnings that you contribute to your 401(k) at 150% and matches the next 2% that you contribute at 50%. So, if you contribute 6% of your salary, you’ll generally score the maximum Philips match of 7%, for a total of 13% in savings.

NOTE: Employees located in Puerto Rico or Employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement are not eligible for this benefit. Refer to your specific plan documents for details.

Lower your tax bill

You’ll feel like a bona fide tax pro when you sign up for one or more of our flexible spending accounts (FSAs). You may be eligible to open a health savings account (HSA) to lower your taxes in three ways. Neither your HSA contributions nor those Philips makes are taxed. You aren’t taxed when you spend that money on qualified health expenses. And you aren’t taxed on your HSA’s investment gains.

The best part? Contributions to your HSA add up over time. You can let your savings grow each year to use later on, even in retirement. Pretty great, right?

Through the Pelago virtual treatment program, you can address tobacco, alcohol and opioid addictions comprehensively and confidentially. Enjoy your new adventure!

A new baby is exciting but also exhausting! Philips recognizes the importance of work-life balance and that it takes time to adjust to the new responsibilities of a growing family. We offer four weeks of paid parental leave for all new parents following the birth or adoption of a child, plus eight weeks of paid maternity leave upon giving birth to a child. 

Once you’re ready to return to work, ease back in with a reduced schedule, thanks to Philips’ Parental Leave Transition Program. You’ll get four weeks of part-time work at full-time pay immediately following parental leave along with coaching services, group support and digital tools to make your transition as easy as possible.

Give your kid a leg up

Kiddo headed to college soon or already in college? While it’s an exciting time, it can also be a stressful one—college is not cheap! If you and your child qualify, your child can apply for one of a limited number of Philips scholarships of $2,500 – renewable each year until they graduate (up to a total of four years). That’s up to $10,000 to use toward college tuition costs. If you have an outstanding high school senior or undergraduate student who is planning to attend or is currently attending an accredited institution of higher education full time, your child can apply for the scholarship.

Heal up

Foot injury on an icy sidewalk? Took a line drive at your kid’s little league game? Surgery planned in advance? No matter the reason for your illness or injury, short-term disability (STD) benefits allow you the time you need to heal without missing out on your pay. You receive 100% of salary for the first 12 weeks. After that, you'll receive 70% of  salary for the next 14 weeks. If you’re still unable to work after 26 weeks, basic long-term disability may be available.

Within a few days, he connected with a top specialist to review his diagnosis, treatment plan, and next steps. 2nd.MD didn’t change Xavier’s need for surgery. But it did put his mind at ease that he was making the right decision.

Tax Savings on the Surgery

It’s weird to think of a major medical procedure leading to a discussion of reducing taxable income. But, when Xavier talked with Health Advocate about his surgery, he mentioned he enrolled in the Health Care Flexible Savings Account (FSA) and has been saving money in it. Health Advocate reminded him he can use the money in his account for eligible expenses and walked him through what those are. Plus, because he's been saving money in an FSA account, Xavier reduces his taxable income!

A Stronger Recovery

As a Blue Cross Blue Shield member, Xavier can sign up for Hinge Health at no cost. Before his surgery, he’ll use the app for exercises to strengthen his knee and manage his pain. Then, during his post-operative recovery, he can find digital physical therapy exercises to quicken his recovery.
Disability Insurance

Paycheck Protection

While Xavier is recovering from his surgery, he doesn’t need to worry about getting paid. Since Xavier has been at Philips for more than 10 years, he’s eligible for up to 26 weeks of short-term disability pay at 100% of his annual base salary. If Xavier’s recovery goes sideways and he needs more than 26 weeks to recover, he may be eligible for long-term disability. That would cover at least 50% of his annual salary on a monthly basis beginning on the 27th week.
