Attention Philips employees! Open enrollment is just around the corner, so don’t miss this two-week opportunity to review your benefits coverage and make changes, if you’d like. Check out these quick tips to rock your enrollment!

Review Your Coverage

This year, we’re asking all Philips employees to really take stock of their current benefit elections. We’re making some pretty big changes for 2026, and it may be the right time to give your coverage a second look to make sure the plans you’re enrolled in make the most sense for you and your family.

Just the Facts

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Open enrollment begins October 22 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on November 5.
  • Open enrollment is the one time in the year (unless you have a qualifying life event) where you’re allowed to change your core benefit elections and add, remove and/or verify your dependents.
  • If you don’t enroll, most of your benefits will roll over to the 2026 plan year. However, you will NOT be enrolled in a Flexible Spending Account. Those accounts do not roll over from year to year—you must elect them every enrollment period.
  • You enroll on the Philips Benefit Center website. Once registered, just click on the Philips Benefits Center on the People Portal.
  • Click on the 2026 Open Enrollment Tab on the login page to get more information on how to educate yourself on and complete your 2026 Open Enrollment.

Things to Do

  • Visit the Philips Benefits Center and click on the 2026 Open Enrollment Information tab to learn more about the benefits and programs available to you.
  • Log in to review your current coverage. There you'll be able to review the new Benefits Guide, Open Enrollment video and mailer that was sent to your home.
  • Make your elections by 11:59 PM ET on November 5.
  • Approve your elections. If you do not approve them, your transaction will be considered abandoned and deleted. Your 2025 benefits and elected coverage level will carry over into 2026 with the exception of flexible spending accounts, which need to be elected each year.

A match made in heaven

We hope you spend many happy years at Philips. But when it’s time to enjoy your golden years, you’ll need (and want) financial security. That’s why Philips delivers a generous company match to your Philips 401(k) plan. That’s free money toward your retirement if you contribute to the 401(k) plan.

Philips matches the first 4% of your eligible earnings that you contribute to your 401(k) at 150% and matches the next 2% that you contribute at 50%. So, if you contribute 6% of your salary, you’ll generally score the maximum Philips match of 7%, for a total of 13% in savings.

NOTE: Employees located in Puerto Rico or Employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement are not eligible for this benefit. Refer to your specific plan documents for details.

You may be eligible to open a health savings account (HSA) to lower your taxes in three ways. Neither your HSA contributions nor those Philips makes are taxed. You aren’t taxed when you spend that money on qualified health expenses. And you aren’t taxed on your HSA’s investment gains.

The best part? Contributions to your HSA add up over time. You can let your savings grow each year to use later on, even in retirement. Pretty great, right?

Enjoy your new adventure!

A new baby is exciting but also exhausting! Philips recognizes the importance of work-life balance and that it takes time to adjust to the new responsibilities of a growing family. We offer four weeks of paid parental leave for all new parents following the birth or adoption of a child, plus eight weeks of paid maternity leave upon giving birth to a child. 

Once you’re ready to return to work, ease back in with a reduced schedule, thanks to Philips’ Parental Leave Transition Program. You’ll get four weeks of part-time work at full-time pay immediately following parental leave along with coaching services, group support and digital tools to make your transition as easy as possible.

If you and your child qualify, your child can apply for one of a limited number of Philips scholarships of $2,500 – renewable each year until they graduate (up to a total of four years). That’s up to $10,000 to use toward college tuition costs. If you have an outstanding high school senior or undergraduate student who is planning to attend or is currently attending an accredited institution of higher education full time, your child can apply for the scholarship.

No matter the reason for your illness or injury, short-term disability (STD) benefits allow you the time you need to heal without missing out on your pay. You receive 100% salary for the first eight weeks. After that, the amount of your STD benefit depends on how long you’ve been with Philips. If you’re still unable to work after 26 weeks, basic long-term disability may be available.

Tax Savings on the Surgery

It’s weird to think of a major medical procedure leading to a discussion of reducing taxable income. But, when Xavier talked with Health Advocate about his surgery, he mentioned he enrolled in the Health Care Flexible Savings Account (FSA) and has been saving money in it. Health Advocate reminded him he can use the money in his account for eligible expenses and walked him through what those are. Plus, because he's been saving money in an FSA account, Xavier reduces his taxable income!

As a Blue Cross Blue Shield member, Xavier can sign up for Hinge Health at no cost. Before his surgery, he’ll use the app for exercises to strengthen his knee and manage his pain. Then, during his post-operative recovery, he can find digital physical therapy exercises to quicken his recovery.

Paycheck Protection

While Xavier is recovering from his surgery, he doesn’t need to worry about getting paid. Since Xavier has been at Philips for more than 10 years, he’s eligible for up to 26 weeks of short-term disability pay at 100% of his annual base salary. If Xavier’s recovery goes sideways and he needs more than 26 weeks to recover, he may be eligible for long-term disability. That would cover at least 50% of his annual salary on a monthly basis beginning on the 27th week.
